Web Design

Two years ago my boss assigned me the task of building a homepage (It's long gone now, thank goodness). I found some tutorials on the internet and began learning html. Since then I've learned a few of the intricacies of html, and have designed a few websites for work and fun. I don't kid myself in thinking I'm an innovative graphic artist (though I have fun fooling around with the Gimp). My fun is in writing the underlying code, especialy in dynamic pages using PHP. Photography Workshop

I didn't actually design this site, but rather revamped it. I made the whole site dynamic using PHP and MySQL. Added an Administration area where the user can upload images and create new pages. One of the coolest things about this site is that there a number of images created by PHP on the fly and others which are stored in a MySQL database.

Brooks Global

I designed this site as a consulting job this last summer. It was my first chance to put into work a few of the things I learned about CSS and JavaScript. It has an admin center and a "user" section that utilizes sessions so that a person can sign in and get access to "the whole site."

Bardwell Consulting Ltd.

This is a site for a statistical consulting firm I work for. It utilizes JavaScript to make dynamic popup windows. I made the site very easy to maintain using PHP. Just recently I added a legal citations search engine which has a MySQL backend. There is a sister site at the-CAO.

Einstein's Cafe

This is an interactive training manual for a cafe at which I did an internship. It utilizes PHP to create a series of pages with information and review questions that the user must answer to finish.

Skyline Holiday Book

I was asked to design this holiday book for a talents and events company. It uses PHP and a database of information to dynamically generate a web page with information about different events.
